A chartered company secretary by profession, Doreen has more than 15 years of experience in financial management in the corporate before embarking into wealth management services in 2008. She dedicated her knowledge gained in corporate to her clients and continuously add value particularly in the lifelong planning, specializing in retirement planning, education planning and business insurance planning.
Prior to setting up RubyWealth, Doreen Tan was one of the pioneer staff of Penang Skills Development Center (PSDC) , the industry lead skills development of Penang , instrumental in setting up the Finance Department and led the organisation through two major expansions to its present capabilities. She has also served in the manufacturing industry, mainly in the financial management, costing, training and development.
As part of continuous learning and development, Doreen Tan has been certified as Certified Financial Planner by Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM) in August 2015.

Doreen has great love for nature, outdoor life and adventures. Scaling mountains, exploring oceans and backpacking through mother natures lands, she always believed that with new experiences, comes the greater joy of life. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is the essence of a “happylife” as she partakes in her practice of yoga, running, walking, swimming and hiking.
An active member of Penang Adventurer’s Club (PAC), Doreen has been the auditor for the past few terms and Committee Head, Expediton for the term 2014/2015. She has also lead a team of members to Mount Fuji, Mount Kinabalu, Pinnacles & Mulu Caves, Mount Yushan and Gokyo Lake & Everest Base Camp.
